Erin Compeau has won the national Governor General’s Gold Medal and the Ontario Gold Medal as the top writer of the 2015 Common Final Examination (CFE).

The CFE is a nation-wide, rigorous, three-day evaluation that assesses accounting competencies and essential knowledge, as well as professional judgment, accounting ethics and the ability to communicate.

As a recipient of the Governor General’s Gold Medal, Erin also received a Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada cash prize of $5,000 for attaining the highest standing in the country.

Erin graduated from the BBA program in 2014. During her time here, she was a Schulich Accounting Society mentor and a member of Schulich’s Undergraduate Ambassador program. She currently works as a Staff Accountant at Deloitte. We’re extremely proud to share this wonderful news for Erin and to see where she has taken her Accounting education at Schulich!

If you’re a BBA taking CPA stream courses that will wrap up in Winter 2016, don’t forget that the application is now open for the Master of Accounting (MAcc) Summer 2016 intake! ) The MAcc is a professional degree program that will develop your  abilities in all fields of professional accounting. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be able to directly write the Common Final Examination.

BBA and iBBA students who have completed or will complete the CPA stream courses by the end of the Winter 2016 are eligible to apply for entry into Term 2 of the MAcc. Get all the details here.
