Are you drum-rolling??

You should be.

Our awesome Student Engagement Coordinator Rohini Chaba has done an amazing job vetting our one-of-a-kind Schulich ambassadors to select your 2015-2016 Task Force!!

These all-star students are more than pretty faces – they’re going to be responsible for:

  • Representing Schulich at high school visits and other recruitment events
  • Mentoring junior Schulich ambassadors
  • Taking a lead on training for special events
  • Making this year the best one Schulich has ever seen!

The 2015/2016 Task Force is just that: a force to be reckoned with.

This group encompasses world travelers, organization and club leaders, and passionate, spirited mentors. But we can’t really do them justice, so we thought it only fair to let you hear from your Task Force themselves about what they hope to accomplish for YOU this year.

Schulich undergrads, this is your Task Force.

Malak El Allaki,
iBBA Candidate, 2017

My name is Malak El Allaki and I’m a third year iBBA student specializing in Finance. I have been a Schulich Ambassador for 2 years now, and it has really helped me grow both as a person and as a leader. I was able to improve my communication and team building skills as well as make new friends along the way. This year, I was given the opportunity to be part of the Schulich Ambassador Task Force, and I couldn’t be more honored. I am so excited to be part of such a dynamic and passionate team. I joined the task force with the goal of becoming a role model in my community, and making a difference in the lives of both incoming, and current Schulich students. I can’t wait to show off my loud school pride and represent Schulich in the eyes of students, parents, and everyone in my surroundings.

Piyush Dhingra
BBA 2017 Candidate

As an active member of the Ambassador Program in my 2nd year at Schulich, I had the pleasure of working alongside many ambitious business leaders as well as  Schulich faculty and administration. However, nothing brought me more joy than to speak with students and parents. Doing so allowed me to better inform them about the amazing opportunities that Schulich has to offer as well as foster an inclusive environment where they feel welcomed. Now, as a member of the Task Force my goal is to play an integral role within the Schulich community and further redefine my leadership competencies. Not only do I want to uplift school spirit, nonetheless I wish to act as a mentor and friend for all existing and incoming students at Schulich, to ensure that they have a very enriching experience for as long as they are enrolled in this amazing learning institution.

Balmit Kaur,
iBBA Candidate, 2017

Having been an Ambassador since first year, this is a program that I’ve not only enjoyed volunteering with, but it has also helped me improve my communication skills and boost my confidence. With that in mind, I wanted to be able to provide opportunities for ambassadors to improve their soft skills as well, whatever they may be, which is why I’m excited to be a part of the task force this year. Schulich is also an amazingly close-knit community and I wanted to actively be a part of it, as well as bring others into this family of ours.

Mariel Martinez
BBA Candidate, 2016

Hi! My name is Mariel, and I’m a fourth year BBA specializing in Accounting. I’ve been an active member of the Ambassador program since first year, and this is now my second year on the Task Force. I’m graduating this year, and being a member of the Task Force is my way of leaving a mark on this school before I have to say goodbye. I absolutely love Schulich, and I owe a lot of my school spirit to this program and all the other Ambassadors I’ve worked with throughout the years. As much as I enjoy the technical aspects of business, it’s interacting and working with people that I really enjoy. So, I look forward to meeting all the new 2019 Ambassadors and working with everyone returning to the program. I know this is going to be a great year!

Andrei Potop
BBA Candidate, 2017

As a member of the Ambassador Task Force, my goal is to amplify Schulich spirit to the point that it radiates outside the building walls, ready to be absorbed into the hearts of prospective students. I want incoming students to have no doubts that they are making the right choice because they will be well-informed and excited about all aspects of Schulich life!

BBA Candidate, 2016 | Vice President of Student Life, Undergraduate Business Society 2015-2016

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

I am excited to be part of the Ambassador Task Force again this year, because there are always new opportunities to learn and develop your employability skills as young business professionals. In helping to lead one of the largest undergraduate organizations on campus, I get to work with phenomenal and ambitious leaders who share the same passion for enacting meaningful and positive change within the community. I hope to create more workshops to help foster Ambassadors’ soft skills, as well as engaging Schulich faculty to support their development. It is my hope that through this team I can help transform our ambassadors’ potential to performance.
