Spend a part of your Reading Week giving back and engaging with the community!

Sign up to participate in Schulich’s first ever Alternative Reading Week (ARW). This is an opportunity for i/BBA students (any level) to volunteer for 3 days (February 18, February 19, and February 20) at community agencies in the York University area. Students will volunteer a maximum of 4-hours per day between 9 am to 5 pm (unless otherwise noted in the description below). All community organizations are in the neighbourhoods directly surrounding York University.

This three-day event will allow you to develop leadership skills, learn with the surrounding community, and meet new friends on and off campus.

Note: Participating in ARW will count as ‘Tier 1 – Leadership’ in the Ambassador Program.

The volunteer opportunities are outlined below. Please complete the application by January 20th to be considered – you will need to indicate your top 2 choices. There will be a mandatory training session before February 18th and a mandatory reflection session the last week of February.
