Schulich students who plan to take Summer courses outside of York University towards their degree, must complete a Letter of Permission (LOP) form and submit it to the Undergraduate Programs Unit, W262.

Students may take a maximum of 6.00 credits during the Summer term. This includes courses taken on a letter of permission. To complete the form you will need the official host university course description citing the website from which you obtained the information. For language courses, approval must also be obtained from the Languages Department. A complete list of instructions is provided on the form.

Please note it takes 5 – 10 business days to process Letter of Permission requests and approval must be obtained BEFORE enrolling in an external course for it to be counted towards your degree.
