**Posted on behalf of the Open Arms Committee

The Open Arms Committee (OAC) facilitates the transition of incoming BBA exchange students at the Schulich School of Business from their native country to Canada. Our goal is to welcome   incoming students and provide relevant information to help them settle in and make the most out of their new environment.  To achieve these goals, the OAC organizes and carries  out various events and programs throughout the school year.

When you join the OAC family, you’ll get to…

  •     Explore Toronto from a fresh perspective
  •     Meet students from the university you plan to attend on exchange and delve into their culture
  •     Re-connect with chums you met on exchange
  •     Help someone else out – for those who believe in karma, this one’s for you!
  •     Receive hours towards the Schulich Ambassador Program

Exchange Tip! Being an active OAC exec member or buddy is a significant asset on exchange applications and during interviews!

We’re looking for outgoing, enthusiastic students with great organization and planning skills to fill our executive positions and help us prepare events for the incoming exchange students this fall term. Currently, the following positions are available:

  • 1 VP of Operations and Finance
  • 1 VP of Communications
  • 3 Events Coordinators
  • 2 Buddy Coordinators

We are also recruiting Buddies to be paired up with incoming exchange students. It’s a great way to learn about different cultures, contribute to the international community, make some new friends and most importantly have fun! Stay tuned for more information later this summer.
If you are interested in making a change by joining the OAC, then we look forward to hearing from you! Please send the applicable completed application form attached in this email along with your most updated resume to bbaoac@gmail.com by 11:59 pm on Friday, July 11th, 2014 with your First name, Last name and Position as the document name. Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview by Tuesday, July 15th, 2014.
