If you have had OSAP loans in a previous year and have either did not get OSAP again this year or you applied but have not received or are still waiting to pick up your OSAP you should be aware that the National Student Loan Centre (the agency which cashed your previous OSAP) needs to know that you are in school this year full-time.  If they do not know you are in full-time studies they will put your previous loans into repayment/interest bearing status.  To notify them of your full-time status you need to get a Continuation of Interest Free Status Form (also known as a Schedule 2) from the Bennett Centre, it can be downloaded on line and have it sent to the National Student Loan Centre  as soon as possible.

You need to complete a request for the Continuation of Interest Free Status Form. You can either drop the request into the OSAP Drop Box (inside the main door to the Bennett Centre on your immediate right) and the OSAP Office will send the form electronically to the NSLC within 3 days of receiving your request. Or, you can take a number and wait to have someone from the OSAP Office send the form while you are there. A representative from the Bennett Centre will electronically send the Continuation of Interest Free Status Form electronically to the National Student Loan Centre and to Ottawa on your behalf and will provide you with a receipt for your records. You can only get this form if you are a full-time student.
