Attention i/BBAs: Check out an exciting Winter term elective, designed for students interested in the phenomenon of social entrepreneurship.

Using a combination of assigned readings, videos, guest speakers, and extensive interaction with real-world social entrepreneurs, students will gain a broad understanding of business models within the field, as well as the challenges and decisions social entrepreneurs face during the start-up phase, and on an ongoing basis.

Meet Your Award-Winning Instructor

This Winter 2020 course will be taught by Cherry Rose Tan, fifth-generation entrepreneur, an award-winning educator, and a high-performance coach based in Toronto.

Cherry has a Master of Arts in Education and the Robert S. Lockhart Award in Psychology from the University of Toronto, with three certifications in Special Education along with formal training under the world’s top coaches. With an entrepreneurial lineage from the 1800s, Rose has lived and breathed entrepreneurship all her life.

Canada’s leading advocate on mental health for entrepreneurs/founders and helping re-set the VC world on how they engage with this issue. Cherry can be found in Forbes this year, along with being a featured speaker this year at the Collision Conference in Toronto.
