With the release of Winter 2016 grades, some students will be receiving letters indicating that they have been debarred and withdrawn from the program, due to a failure to meet promotion requirements. As a reminder to all students, promotion requirements include the following, and are assessed at the end of both the Winter and Summer semesters:

  • The achievement of a minimum 5.00 OGPA; and
    • Prior to entering the Fall term of Year 2, 30.00 credit-hours must be completed, including all prescribed core courses
    • Prior to entering the Fall term of Year 3, 60.00 credit-hours must be completed, including all prescribed core courses
    • Prior to entering the Fall term of Year 4, 90.00 credit-hours must be completed, including all prescribed core courses

Students who fail to satisfy any of these requirements will receive a debarment letter by email from Student and Enrolment Services, and will have 14 calendar days to submit an appeal for reinstatement.
