FINE 4060 3.00: Advanced Personal Finance

with Professor Moshe Milevsky
Offered Winter 2018: Tuesdays, 11:30am – 2:30pm

I am very excited to be teaching Advanced Personal Finance (FINE 4050), which is a new course offered for the first time to BBA students at Schulich in Winter 2018. The course will teach students how to solve advanced decision-making problems in retirement income planning, using the R-script programming language.

The course requires absolutely no background in coding or computer science, but learning how to create R-scripts will enable students to easily work with (large) datasets and understand the sophisticated optimization algorithms (i.e. robo-advisors) being developed in the financial industry for lifecycle decision-making.

If you have any interest in working in the wealth management business, trust me that this course will help you stand-out and differentiate yourself from the crowds.
