Three Schulich teams will compete in this year’s 2016 Hult Prize Competition for a spot to move on to the final round of the competition. Teams selected from the regional finals will compete for a chance to win $1,000,000 dollars for their social enterprise in New York.

This year’s Hult Prize challenge focuses on how to double the income of people residing in crowded urban spaces by connecting goods, services and capital. Each team will present their business model in a six minute pitch at their regional competitions alongside students from all across the world.

The three teams are
Alyssa-Thy Bui, Alex Tran, James Zhao and Zach Nguyen competing in the Boston Regional Finals
Andrea Trozzo, Quintin Au, Isabel Ng-lai and Natalie Pecile competing in the Dubai Regional Finals
Joseph Truong, Akash Sidhu and Rashik Naveed who are also competing in the Dubai Regional Finals

The Hult Prize Foundation is a start-up accelerator for budding young social entrepreneurs emerging from the world’s universities. Named as one of the top five ideas changing the world by President Bill Clinton and TIME Magazine, the annual competition for the Hult Prize aims to create and launch the most compelling social business ideas—start-up enterprises that tackle grave issues faced by billions of people

The 2016 Hult Prize Regional Finals will be taking place from March 11 – 12th in Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai, Shanghai and online.

Best of luck!
