Indiana Jones and the Temple of Geeks: Adventures in Entrepreneurship
Monday, March 24 from 5:30 pm-6:55 pm
Schulich School, Room W132

At age 34, after a series of entrepreneurial ventures and work at Microsoft, Swain Porter decided to found a high-end, low-cost software development company in India. His experiences there led a Wall Street Journal reporter to liken him to the movie character Indiana Jones. In this talk, Porter will describe his entry and 10 years of operation in India and the lessons he learned there and in the years afterward. Today, in addition to his own entrepreneurial ventures, Porter is an active angel investor, start-up mentor, and advisor to early and growth stage technology companies in the northwestern USA and in the Asia Pacific region.

All Schulich community members are welcome. No registration necessary.

Appointments/meetings with Porter are available for students on Tuesday afternoon, March 25. Please book them through Schulich School’s Venture Capital Club.
