Every month the Undergraduate Programs Unit will highlight an Ambassador(s) that has contributed to the Schulich and York Community by demonstrating leadership, professionalism and/or outstanding achievement.  Congratulations to Abbas Hasnain, BBA ’16 our Ambassador of the Month for April.

Abbas is a shining example of the talent and work ethic that resides in the Class of 2016. Abbas became a member of the Undergraduate Programs Unit (UPU) team this Winter as a Student Liaison Officer and his insight into the student experience has been invaluable. In addition to assisting the team with daily operations, his specialty is writing articles for the Undergrad Blog as well as the Schulich Vibe (a newsletter for prospective students). Abbas contributes witty articles that captures the reader’s attention and speaks to life at Schulich and York University. As an international student, he has also provided details and recommendations to assist international students’ transition to Canada.

Abbas will also be one of our star Ambassadors helping with the upcoming Schulich Call Campaign as well as the York University Spring Open House. You should also look out for him in future York University publications as he has been chosen to participate in an international recruitment photoshoot designed for prospective students.

Abbas is an active Ambassador who demonstrates leadership and teamwork in all he does. He has been a great addition to our already fantastic student staff and we look forward to working with him more in the future. Given his genuine passion for the BBA program, prospective students and the Schulich Community, there is no doubt why Abbas is the Ambassador of the Month for April.
