Attention Second-Year Students: Big Changes to the Certificate in International Management (CIM)!
Are you passionate about international or global business? Looking for a way to stand out in a competitive job market? The Certificate in International Management (CIM) at Schulich just got a major upgrade—and it’s the perfect opportunity for students ready to level up their global business game.
The Certificate in International Management (CIM) is the only Certificate available at the undergraduate level. Students get a separate Certificate in addition to their Diploma in recognition for their achievements in International Business/Management. The stand-alone Certificate can be used to enhance one’s job opportunities.
CIM is designed for those students who want to delve more deeply into International Business/Management than is available in the Global Business specialization. The aim of CIM is for students to develop a “global mindset.”
No extra courses are required (beyond the 120 credits for the Degree), but several specific courses are required (some of which can be taken on exchange). These courses are highly practical and apply tools to the “real world.”
Current second-year students intending to qualify for CIM should take GBUS 3150 in THIRD YEAR (2025-26). GBUS 3200 should also be taken in Fall 2025, or simultaneously with GBUS 4200 in Fall 2026.
PROPOSED CIM (effective Fall 2025) [Third & fourth-year students may follow the old CIM requirements]
