Earn credit while you gain invaluable work experience in the innovation ecosystem this Fall!

The Schulich Startups Program and Schulich Professor Farrokh Zandi have announced an exciting new “team-up” – unlocking work placements that will match a hand-picked group of Schulich BBA students with a collection of top Schulich Startups companies.

This special stream of the MGMT 4850 Course offers students the opportunity to gain relevant work experience, while developing critical thinking and reflecting on the startup’s theories and initiatives.

Who Is This Course For?

Student Eligibility Requirement:

The Placement is only available after completion of the first-year courses subject to the approval obtained from the (Associate) Program Director prior to start of the Placement. Meaning it is open for 2nd/3rd/4th Year BBA/iBBA students.

This is a great opportunity for you if:

  • You are looking to gain experience of working in a strategic role at a firm
  • You want to reflect on your classroom learning by helping a business to grow
  • Want to stay ahead of the curve before entering the workforce upon your graduation

What is the Time Commitment & Credit Weight?

The Work Placement program will require that you complete 240 hours (an average of 15 hours per week) over a period of 4 months, and will earn you 3.00 academic credits upon completion. Your time will be mostly spent on remote work; however, there may be some on-site requirements depending on the firm.
