The Schulich Recruitment & Admissions team is seeking a Schulich undergraduate student to join our team as Student Experience Assistant for the Winter 2020 term.  

Over the course of the term, the selected student will work five hours per week, up to a total of 60 hours. This bursary position pays $1,000, deposited into the incumbent’s student account upon the conclusion of the 60 hours of work.

Key Responsibilities

The Student Experience Assistant will help to enhance the student experience via the following means:

  • Conducting Schulich building tours for prospective students and their families
  • Answering general student-life inquiries from prospective and current students via email, phone, and in-person
  • Creating and curating a pipeline of student-life content that can be shared via Schulich’s various, digital undergraduate channels (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and the Undergrad Blog)
  • Other student experience-related duties, as assigned

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Must be a Schulich student in good academic standing. Current Schulich Ambassadors or Task Force members are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be creative, enthusiastic, and have a passion to work with students, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent time management, and attention to detail.
  • Must possess above average communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong customer service mentality, with well-honed presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with and activity on popular social media platforms (i.e. Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook)
  • Demonstrated community and student life involvement at Schulich.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality essential
  • Must show financial need via the Student Financial Profile, as this is a bursary position
