Are you enrolled to take the fourth year capstone course SB/MGMT 4100 Integrative Business Simulation this Fall?

If so, there are a few things that you need to know before the start of the Fall term in order to ensure you start the course off on the right foot:

  1. You must have successfully completed SB/SGMT 3000 Strategic Management in order to take SB/MGMT 4100. Students who have not successfully completed SB/SGMT 3000 will be de-enrolled from SB/MGMT 4100.
  2. If you need to change sections of SB/MGMT 4100, you must do so before the Fall term begins. Section changes will not be permitted once the term has begun as teams for the simulation will have already been formed.
  3. You must register for the course at www.capsim.com before the first day of class. You will receive an email with instructions on how to register prior to the start of term. Students who have not registered before the first class will be de-enrolled.
  4. If you fail to attend the first class, you will be de-enrolled from the course.
  5. You must be available to attend all scheduled classes for your section. While sessions in this course will not include lectures or involve traditional class meetings, teams are expected to use class time to meet and discuss their decisions/strategy. Debriefs with the instructor will also be scheduled during class time, and students who miss the requested debriefs or fail to physically meet with their teams during this time will fail the course. No exceptions will be made.

SB/MGMT 4100 provides students with an amazing learning experience. Student teams use a sophisticated business simulation program to manage a firm through multiple years of operation in a competitive industry. Due to the nature of the course, it is essential that students enrolled adhere to the five points noted above in order to best set themselves up for success.

If you have any questions about the requirements for this course as outlined above, please don’t hesitate to book a 1-1 advising appointment prior to the start of the Fall term.
